- Being a college town means lots of college sports like the Brown Bears. Many Brown sporting events take place on their field on the East Side, in the heart of the eruv.
- The Providence Bruins, an affiliate of the Boston Bruins, play their home games at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in downtown Providence.
- The Pawtucket Pawsox, a triple A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, play in nearby McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket.
