Inclusive programming for children with disabilities

Being in the smallest state has its advantages.  Parents of special needs children who came from other states have said that it is much easier and quicker to obtain eligibility for services in RI than elsewhere due to its smaller beaurocracy.

There are a number of excellent special-needs schools and Jewish programs. Most of the shuls are wheelchair accessible.  Also, each RIPTA bus can accomodate two wheelchairs.  Children under 19 may qualify for Medicaid regardless of their parents' income through the Katie Beckett program.  RI also boasts excellent doctors and hospitals.

There are families in the Jewish community with special needs children of all ages.  Contact us at if you would like to speak to a parent.
